My one friend is a smoker and he noticed he gets easily winded when we do sparring.

I suggest either cutting back/quiting or doing what he did and taking up vaping (less harsh).

Yeah I was a smoker when I was a teen. Gave it up when I gave up drinking (Age 28). I think it is fine for some, but for someone like me who just did nothing to care for my body... I didn't need the added stress. haha

This is a good tip really. If you want to smoke cutting back will help but I know a few people who switched to vaping and their over all health has improved a lot!

Same here. I know someone who quit smoking using vaping and now it vaping clean (non-nicotine) e-liquid.

Vaping seems to be the thing to do these days but I always read that ecigarettes are worse than regular ones.

Those are worse for you because they aren't as regulated. When you get the actual liquid and the tank+battery, you have control of the flavors and the amount of nicotine that goes in.

I actually started smoking last summer though I don't smoke much, I know it is risky. I tend to only smoke a few times a week... Usually after really good meals or with coffee.
I think now would be the time to stop because I end up as a one pack a day kinda guy!

Ah that makes sense. I never looked into them myself.

Either way, it sounds like a better option than smoking as far as sports go. Less harsh on the lungs.

I smoke and I have never had huge issues with it but I by no means encourage others to. I smoke very light, not even 10 a day. I also roll my own. I will give my lungs a break and take vitamin c to help clean them out 2 to 3 times a year. I don't drink or use drugs so I figure I am okay, or at least better off than most smokers. lol

Well if you are going to smoke I guess it is best to do it as healthy as possible which you are. Have you ever considered a filtered pipe tho? My grandpa does it this way and never had any lung issues. I still thing it is gross lol :p

I am still smoking since I posted in here. Not every day either, so I am not increasing or anything. I usually just enjoy one every now and then like people like cigars. And Dw3ller you at least approach it in a more healthy manner. Most smokers (like daily smokers) I know eat bad, don't supplement, and are out of shape.
