Should I do stretching before?

I haven't seen anything on this but every other exercise or prolonged movement asks that you do stretching before hand to prevent injuries.

If yes, what stretches would be best to do before something like this?

Based on what experience I have, I would say basic runners stretches are enough. You want your legs to be stretched out the most. You can do some warm up swings with your saber to loosen the shoulders.

  3. Stretching is very broad topic ...
What you want to do is getting the joints smoothed and the muscles toned. When warming up, this is all - you don't want to do stretches that in fact aim at increasing the range of mobility (like splits). Those are done after a workout.

Warming up, you may want to do that. Stretching is for after as mentioned but people have messed this up. Just like saying muscle weighs more than fat.
5 pounds of muscle and 5 pounds of fat weight the same.. muscle just takes up less room.

  6. In fact, it does. ;)
But it's about the same chunk of meat - pure muscle-meat will weigh more than the same size of pure fat.

If we are talking actual size in mass then yeah because muscle is more dense. I think his point was just that. 5 pounds of muscle takes up a lot less room than 5 pounds of fat.
