I feel like there "should" be more options

I found a list of saber clubs but they are so scattered around, that it is hard to actually find one in your area. It seems like the new ones don't even register on Google maps too, like the one I am in doesn't even come up.

Anyone know an easy where to find more in other areas and states? I have some friends who don't live near by who are interested.

There will be. New ones are opening up every month. It is not something that is going to take the nation by storm or anything. Sure, there are a ton of Star Wars fans out there but how many would actually want to do sparring and dueling in competitions or even just staged acts?

There will be. In some areas they are hard to find, in others you actually have options. Sometimes you will have to drive around to find them too because they aren't big enough yet or advertised online.

When you go looking online, you will see a lot of places that offer training. Some people even train you one on one.
It seems to be more popular out west than it is in the east but I am sure that will change.

I guess this is true. I know quite a number of Star Wars fans that would never do this. I am sure once more people find out how fun it is, they will join in!

Yeah that was the case for mine. I happened to see it. They don't even have a website yet! I guess that is the trouble will smaller training classes. They need to earn money before they can branch out more.

Out West, really? Sheesh they get everything! Must be because it is hotter out there. lol I hear of so many conventions and stuff that always happen in California, never here :(

People need to understand that this isn't like a mainstream thing. You won't be able to find them all over the place like basketball hoops or something. I don't even see very many karate places in my area and that has been popular in the US for like 30+ years now. It is just something that is dependent on your area I think. I know in some places, you will be able to choose form like 5+ different places to learn and in others, you have to drive 2 hours just to find a half way decent club.

I agree with the post above me here ^^^

It is not going to get any more popular in areas in never will stand a chance. It is a business and if it can't make money in your area, who is going to open a club?

Yeah since I joined I am seeing it become more popular on thins like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and the like. I guess it is going to take time to gain mainstream popularity.

It is the case with a lot of things. They tend to get music faster as well. They have a HUGE following of Star Wars conventions and all that out there.
