I have a club that just started up, I don't own it but it is more of a shared community club with 7 people.
We want to bring in actual trainers and have classes for beginners and kids being run. I am not sure how to find trainers/teachers though.
Our one member is a mixed martial artist and is amazing with saber arts but he doesn't have the time right now to host classes or training unfortunately.

That is a good question really. I don't seem to know anyone in my area who does this. Have you tried looking on local listings such as Craigslist? Maybe posting an ad for it?

Do a search for your state. You would be shocked to see the number of placed out there. The one I was considering joining is legit but it is too far a drive for me just yet.

http://royalarts.org/light-saber-classes/ look for places like this! You may be able to get a trainer involved for a fee.

Yeah that is the thing, it is not like we are making money here. I dont mind paying someone but until we have people paying for lessons, I can't offer that.

You can always try to run a local fund raiser. Get people to help you guys get it off the ground. You can keep it a themed event as well.
There was this couple who was raising money for their book store to expand and they did a Harry Potter theme which was really cool looking.

Ah that could be an issue. I guess you need money to actually pay trainers or hope you find someone willing to donate their time.

Yeah I am thinking I will just do flyers and put them around town. See if anyone is willing to help out. I know someone who is part of a martial arts club he said I can put my flyers in there.

That sounds like a good idea. You can also look into making a Go Fund Me account to help support. I have seen people get money for just about anything on there, even school! I had a friend who raised $5,000 to help him stay in school a few years back.

Good suggestion, I haven't even thought of that! Seriously, thanks! If I start one up I will post it here. You guys/gals can help me spread the word.
