The other day we had a family birthday party going on. I normally try to avoid them by working but I had to day off so I went. In the midst of some guys talking about sports, my mother walks over and says something about be taking up sports. Immediately I was flooded with questions because I am not the "sport type". After telling them, my one cousin looked at me and said, "Aren't you a bit old to be playing with toys like that?" And a bunch of people laughed. I was so embarrassed. Anyone ever say this was childish to you?

I wouldn't say I have been called childish but I have gotten some looks and not so pleasant reactions. Mostly being sarcastic. When people do look in to it more, they see it isn't childish but actually a hard thing to learn.

I am sure someone has but you have to ignore these comments. I feel sorry for the people who "grow up" and lose complete connection what it feels like to be a kid.

I have been called names sure but I ignore them. I see nothing childish about this and even if it was, it is better to be like a child than and adult.
So many adults are angry, depressed, sad, bitter... No thanks! Give me a skateboard and leave me alone! lol

The term "childish" isn't even used right anymore. They think anything a child would do is childish when the term being used as an insult involves reactions, feelings, and emotions. Having a fit and crying over your favorite drink being sold out is childish, doing something that a child may enjoy is not.

You are a very smart man. I actually know a psychiatrist (my uncle) and he trains people to actually be more like children to relieve stress. In terms of being creative, getting lost in a fun activity, and not fearing change.

I never thought about it but that makes sense. Normally when you call a teen or an adult a child or say they are being childish it involves how they are handling a situation, not what they are actually doing. Good point! I am going to use that next time someone wants to tell me playing video games is childish. I should back it with some scientific studies showing how video games actually keep the brain sharp. HA! lol

As I get older, and I see all my friends and family that is around my age getting married and having kids I realized that a lot of them don't think much of me. I have never really been in a serious relationship. I kind of floated in and out of many. I never even told a woman I loved her lol I know that sounds bad but I don't like saying things I don't mean. So I have been called all kinds of names but I always tell people that this is who I am and if you perceive me as a child, well I hope that helps you sleep at night.

You are one of few who will not just say something to please a person and I give you credit. I have told people I loved them (in relationships) and not really meant it. I know i didn't mean it because I felt uncomfortable after doing it. When you tell someone you love them, it should just come out naturally because you do not because you feel the need to say it.

I haven't told anyone yet that I want to do this. My family generally thinks I am immature though so I may not tell them. I am going on 16 and love gaming, Pokemon, Star Wars, D&D, Magic the Gathering, and more. My sister is 19 and was the typical cheerleader through school. Won prom queen all that so compared to her, my parents don't think much of me.

Everytime I try I get to the second form of Zophar, kill the hands, but run out of everything and die to the body. Just wondering if anyone has been able to do it.
