I an curious about this because I know people who do one or the other. I actually will use light armor under attire I like to wear. I wear something like what is pictured here:

A friend of mine made it for my for a Halloween party a few years ago.

I wear whatever I am wearing with a basic robe over it. Nothing fancy. I would love to see this outfit, like the real deal. That looks like it would be amazing!
  3. When training technique: T-Shirt, training pants, boxing shoes or sneakers, padded gloves.
When sparring: either the same outfit plus airsoft goggles for light sparring or fencing mask, HEMA fencing jacket and heavy gloves for going full speed.

    Costuming is for events. ;)

I just wear what I wear plus some minimal armor. I don't do anything fancy. I have some cosplay items I wear to conventions but I don't use them while sparring/practicing.

I do both. Sometimes I will dress up, sometimes I wont. It also depends. Like if I go to an event I always dress up because I enjoy it. I like being a part of the community.

I'm not one to judge. I have certain things I wear more than I should that get me some odd looks. haha
I'm not sure if you know when them masked hoodies are but I have quite a few of them. I have been known to wear them at family events... with the hood zipped up lol

I wear sweats and some padding. I don't dress up or anything. No need to unless I am in a professional competition or going to a gathering.
I do see and hear of people dressing up even for practice. No shame in that. Martial Arts has you wear a robe/suit and a belt!

Martial art training pants and a t-shirt for me. If sparring is serious, I have a fencing mask and some padded protective gear for the arms, shins and chest.

I honestly don't wear much different things then I wear on a day to day basis. I use items to protect my fingers (glove padding) but I haven't had the need for anything else. If I think I am going to be dueling someone who is accident prone, I will wear a sports cup for obvious reasons lol
