I know with computers is is better to build than to buy for a number of reasons, one being that they are a lot cheaper this way and another is that they are more customizable. So what do you think, is it better to build or to buy?

I am honestly not sure. I don't think they are as complex as commuters to save you a whole lot or make a huge difference in what you spend.
I would imagine it is cheaper but it would be a lot easier to just buy one be it custom or not. I bought mine :D

For me it is buying simply because I have no creative skill. lol I mean I could see doing a simple design but in comparison to the ones that you can buy, it would likely fall apart from just swinging it. lol Also, I would have no idea how to do the lights or the soundboard even if I did read about it and followed a step by step How To video lol

I would always rather buy something than do it myself unless we are talking furniture. I get why people do enjoy building these but I wouldn't have the patience for it myself lol

Commuters? I didn't know people who commuted were complex! :D

I know what you meant, I am only joshing ya. Yeah buying seems to be easier for most things lol I know I wouldn't want to build something if I didn't have to.

What kind of furniture do you actually make or enjoy making?

And yeah same here. I think after a few mistakes I would give up. I was always the kid in art class that would look at what I made and throw it in the trash after I got the grade lol

That is what I get for relying on a spell checker instead of looking through and correcting it myself. Gotta love phones! haha And don't get me wrong, I love crafts and building things but sabers, even after watching videos on them being made, I am at a loss with. I would not know what to do and I would likely only end up wasting my time and money.

Yeah the soundboard and light seem to be the biggest issue when people are attempting to build them on their own. Even some great builders have messed up before!

Building sounds super hard to me. I am no expert here or anything but I would imagine it takes a lot of skill to build anything like this. I surely will not be attempting it!
