They sell the the blue print here for only $2.75

Has anyone ever tried to make one on a 3D printer? I can't imagine it being any good to use but it does look cool just to have as a piece in your collection.

Here is a different design that was made using a printer:

These are interesting. I know someone who has a 3D printer but he doesn't use it often. The supplies needed to print things costs a lot of money. I would imagine printing bigger items like this takes more in cost.

When I first heard of 3 printers like 5 or so years ago, I was terrified lol I know that sounds random but knowing they can make weapons, real working weapons, it got me worried.
I am glad to see things like this being mad more and more though. I see all kind of custom Star Wars stuff online done by 3D printers or blueprints for 3D printing.

3D printing isn't that big of a deal anymore as anyone can make anything and get good at it. I mean if you have the money to invest in it as a hobby, it can end up being profitable.

I am a bit late to this but I find this facinating. I would love to 3D print a saber as well as other items. I really thought 3D printing and TV would take over but it seems like only certain people enjoy those options.
I guess I don't enjoy 3D films as much but 3D printing is still cool! I would love to own a 3D printer some day just to play around with as a hobby.

I never heard of 3D printing a lightsaber but it is a pretty cool concept. I mean you can't fight/duel with these, i'd imagine they would break but I am with Minx. I would love to make one!

The concept and whole thing is cool, like being able to print stuff but I would never personally invest in something like this. The material or "ink" 3D printers use is so expensive you are better off just buying an actual man made lightsaber. I can see why people get into this stuff, don't get me wrong, but I would much rather enjoy things crafted by hand. To me, it has more meaning and depth that way.

You can't use these for sparring can you? I mean if not, then what is the point?
